With more than 16 years in the event industry, Lindsey has built her career around one simple belief: the best celebrations are the ones that feel personal.

Her journey into events began in the corporate world, where she worked in branding and experiential marketing, managing a large territory and coordinating everything from festivals and special events to week-to-week brand experiences. It was there that she discovered how much she loved bringing people together and creating moments that people genuinely enjoyed.

After welcoming her first son, Lindsey made the decision to shift her career so she could be more present with her growing family. She transitioned into the global relocation industry, where she coordinated complex moves for employees and families around the world, from housing and travel itineraries to buying and selling homes and everything in between. The experience gave her an incredible appreciation for the many details that go into making a major life transition feel seamless.

But her heart kept pulling her back to celebrations.
In 2019, after working part-time as a photographer and wedding planner, Lindsey took a leap of faith and founded Haylan Events & Weddings LLC. The name Haylan was created from the names of her three children, making the company a deeply personal reflection of what matters most to her.

What began as a leap of faith grew into years of creating celebrations throughout the greater Atlanta area. Lindsey has had the opportunity to work on everything from intimate gatherings and weddings to large corporate events and celebrations for well-known public figures. Through it all, she has developed a reputation for being thoughtful about the details while never losing sight of the people at the center of the occasion.

While Lindsey loves the creativity and logistics that come with producing an event, her favorite part has always been the personal connection, the little details, the unexpected moments, and creating an experience that feels like you.

That passion ultimately led Lindsey to The Garden Cottage Event Co., where she is proud to be a co-owner alongside her business partner, Shannon.

When Lindsey first saw The Garden Cottage, this was everything we both dreamed of: charming, intimate, welcoming, and tucked away in the North Georgia mountains. More than just a beautiful venue, it offered the opportunity to combine everything she loves about events… beautiful design, meaningful celebrations, thoughtful details, and genuine hospitality.

Today, Lindsey brings her 16 years of experience, creative eye, running a business behind the scene, and passion for people to The Garden Cottage, helping couples create celebrations that feel effortless, personal, and unforgettable.
